Holywell Vision Statement:
'Loving Learning' 'Loving Life' 'Loving all Others' Loving Our World'
The school was founded in 1822 as a National School. The Church paid for the first building on the current site circa 1830, establishing it as a Church of England School. At that time the school consisted of one large room. Over the years it has continued to grow and now we have a reception area, head teacher's office, and staff room, 4 classrooms, and a group room. Currently we have a Foundation Stage and Year 1 class (Robins), a Year 2 class (Hedgehogs), a mixed Year 3 and 4 class (Foxes), and a mixed Year 5 and 6 class (Squirrels).
As a Church of England School we aim to support a Christian ethos through the teaching of Christian Values and relating them to our everyday lives. We have an open door policy and welcome the involvement of parents and members of the local community.
In September 2012, we federated with Bratton Fleming CP School. The two schools together became known as The Gateway Federation. Then in 2018 we joined Ventrus Academy Trust.
