Children's Ethos Committee

Welcome to Holywell!
We are the Children's Ethos Committee and we work hard to make sure our school is friendly, kind and welcoming for everyone. We try to make sure everyone knows and understands our Christian values (look at Ollie's rainbow below to find out what our Christian values are). We sometimes plan and lead Collective Worship. We do lots more as well!

March 2020
This year has been busy so far. We updated our school vision and motto at the start of the year:
"The Holywell Community lets our lights shine by
Loving Life
Loving Learning
Loving all Others
Loving our World."
As a committee, we love this statement, which is inspired by Jesus' words. At the moment, school is a little different, with most of us learning at home because of the Corona Virus, but we are still all letting our lights shine! Look at our Facebook page to see how!

20th Sept 2018
Today we appointed our new Ethos Committee members. Well done to Ruby, Paddy, Theo, Issy, Nancy, Tia, Poppy, Olivia and Gracie! Our new members are excited and eager to get started in their new roles.

28th Feb 2018
Today we led Collective Worship. We had worked hard to make an assembly all about St David ready for St David's day, which is coming along soon. Check out the pictures below, which show Chesca's amazing art work, which she made as scenery for our drama, and a special game we made up for the other children. You can also view a video we made about Random Acts of Kindness and the powerpoint we made. We think Random Acts of Kindness help us to achieve our school motto, 'Let your Light Shine' really well and they help us to practise our value of the month, Love and Compassion. Watch this space for more video clips of our acts of kindness.

January 2018
Back in December, we packed shoeboxes full of Christmas goodies to be sent to children around the world. Then we got to deliver them and see how they are processed! Take a look at our photos of the trip below. You can find out where our shoeboxes ended up here.
